From LT: If there’s any song on the album that sticks out like a sore thumb it’s “Steelheart.” Stu (guitar) and I had talked about writing a straight-ahead rocker designed to be played live. I really don’t care much for those kinds of songs normally, preferring something a little more layered and nuanced, but the idea was already in my mind and it was as good a time as any to record this. Sure enough, this did turn out to be a great live song and we always get a good singalong happening when we play it. I’m not sure it really fits in with the rest of the album, but it is what it is.
