People who grew up in Australia over a certain age, especially those who lived in regional areas, will remember there only being two TV channels and they would both go off the air at the end of the night for a few hours. On the ABC, they would play the national anthem and the announcer would say “goodnight” so this was our take on that, “closing our album down after broadcast.”
